The annual “West Shore Talent Competition will kick-off the 2019 Oceana County Fair on Tuesday night, August 20, in the Grandstand. The talent competition will start at 6:00 p.m. with each entry performing their best selection. Audience and silent judging will determine the winners in each category.
- Best Adult Male Performer
- Best Adult Female Performer
- Best Child Performer (under 13)
- Best Vocal Group
Monetary prizes will be awarded to each winner. Performers must register before August 20, 2019, to determine placement in the program. A sound system will be provided but any special equipment will be the responsibility of the participants.
Participants of all ages are welcome to participate.
The Talent Competition is free to the public and participants, but a freewill offering will be available to benefit the Oceana & Mason County Jail Ministries, which provide Bibles, studies, Christian literature, one on one counseling and a formal “Reentry Assistance Program” to inmates. More information about how you can help the jail ministries will be available at the event.
This evening of public entertainment is a joint effort of the Oceana County Fair Association and ArkLight Ministries, LLC. There will be free admission, free parking, and free grandstand.
